Introducing Malted Barley Powder!

We're delighted to announce that we've added Malted Barley Powder (MBP) to our range of organic dry amendments!

MBP is barley that has been sprouted and then dried and powdered. The malted barley we use is certified organic from barley grown in the West Country: it’s chock full of enzymes such as phosphatase, chitinase, urease, and amylase that, instead of feeding your plant directly, feed the microbes in your soil; helping them  break down nutrients and make them more available for your plant, noticeably increasing vitality and vigour.

Benefits of using MBP for your plants

One of the main benefits of using MBP for your plants is that it reportedly enables plants to finish flowering 15 to 20% faster. Additionally, far less support is required in late flower as a result of the plant’s increased tensile strength.

Using MBP as a soil amendment has long been championed by the famous Clackamas Coot and it is one of his recommended ingredients in his soil mix.
